Roughly, following is how I’d work to prepare electrical design, for a project like yours
Step 1. Understand Architectural Layout and System requirement.
Step 2. Position electrical points as per regulations, ie. I/O points, LPS, earthing, incoming line etc.
Step 3. Position electrical points as per user’s requirement, ie. Luminaries, power sockets etc.
Step 4. Find out load of every device and total demand. Apply demand factor and safety factor if required.
Step 5. Sizing of circuits and cables.
Step 6. Calculation for conduit or wireway.
Step 7. Preparation of Bill of Quantity.
