My primary interest is external aero analysis which is the majority of my CFD work, but also work with internal, mainly for CHT analyses.
Previous work experience includes development, CAD design and testing of winter road maintenance equipment (snow ploughs, salt spreaders) and reverse engineering and improvement of gas turbine components - from single parts to complete assemblies like GT side rotor holder.
My experience includes:
▪ CAD model design, adaptation, cleanup and segmentation using Salome and other mesh editing programs.
▪ Programmed scripts for automated parametric geometry creation.
▪ Automated meshing script for snappyHexMesh for obtaining low Re meshes with 25 layers (100 % coverage) for complex geometries
▪ Implemented parametric analysis job control programmed in Python.
▪ Cluster runs and job control script
▪ RANS analyses (Spalart-Allmaras, kOmegaSST, k-kl-omega)
▪ Performed CFD analyses and optimization of airship model and components (Parametric and FFD optimization using genetic optimization)
▪ Propeller simulations (MRF and actuator disk models)
▪ Automatic generation of analysis reports
