Hello and thanks for reading my Bio. I'm a mechanical engineer with 2D drafting and 3D modeling experience. My drafting experience include product, prototype and machine design. I design various products for the commercial, medical, marine and industrial sectors. Software that I use are AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, FreeCAD, Keyshot, Meshmixer and 3D builder. I am a Turner / Machinist by trade and currently studying towards a career in both Mechatronics and Process Instrumentation at a local university. I started with technical subjects as early as high school and progress onto to an entry level position in the drawing office of a automation company where I gained experience in methods of modular design and CAD packages such as Solid works and Autodesk Inventor. I enrolled into an apprenticeship program where I obtain my red seal in Turning and continued to increase my exposure to FMCG based manufacturing companies by working in various industries such as automotive , pharmaceutical and general manufacturing companies. I have been involved in both the installation, commissioning and maintenance of manufacturing equipment in these industries and carry knowledge beyond the scope of just my current qualification. Therefor I have decides to enrolled at me local university in order to increase my theoretical knowledge on Electrical Engineering, specializing in Mechatronics and Process Instrumentation. My main interests is in industrial electronics and design of efficient and maintenance friendly equipment that is easily repaired and mostly modular in design.

I have been working on Inventor for four years and worked in the trailers industry for two years making truck trailers, for example, semi-trailers, abnormal trailers, low beds. Then switch to machine designs like plastic welders, vacuum formers, which also included electric diagrams. Can write CNC programs and NC programs. I Believe the customer comes 1st in all projects, and I aim to supply the best quality of work I can provide to the customer.

I'm a Full Time Mechanical Designer at an Engineering Company in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, specializing in Automation and purpose built machinery. I currently have 2 years experience working in Autodesk Inventor, as well as doing some work in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. I was a full time Mechanical Engineering student at North-West University but had to drop out due to financial constraints.
