Hello, My name is Peter Ciampi and I'm a 26 year-old professional civil engineer, who has been in the industry for 4+ years. I'm currently an In-House Design Team Leader for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. I am responsible for the design and supervision of Interstate Maintenance and National Highway System resurfacing projects from development of scope of work for highway and bridge components, through development of contract documents to project advertisement. I also provide construction support as required for in-house designed projects. I have been with the Department for almost 4 years and I've worked in the Projects, Highway Maintenance, Permits, and Construction Sections in my District. I also participate in the Transportation Asset Management Steering Committee where I discuss the future needs and desires of tracking the Department's highway assets. I also develop and test different databases and applications through the development and release process. I graduated in 2013 from the Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. I currently possess my Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certificate and looking forward to obtaining my Professional Engineer's (P.E.) license in the near future.
