I started my cad drafting career in telecommunications drafting inside outside plant cable designs for Sprint, Siemens, and Time Warner. I started drafting early during my junior high school years earning awards at the trade fairs. Major clients for campus installs where Bowling Green University, Kent State, placed fiber optic installs in eastern southern and western Ohio. I then started working for architects in central and northern Ohio gaining experience in commercial, health care, and residential, construction. I then freelance mechanical, electrical and architectural drafting services to clients in central Ohio and the east coast of Texas. I also with a team designed automated assembly lines for the tire industry Firestone, BF Goodrich, Goodyear. The tire plants where located in the US Mexico and Canada. I also draft additions, house plans, and renovations for local builders I submitted the plans to codes and permits for approval when tasked to do so. During the 80’s I was an armor tank crewman in the United States Army. I grew up in the construction trades my father was a contractor I also did and still do on occasion contract construction in central Ohio.

I use Revit the most, and I can create components (families), floorplans, 3D and photorealistic renders, section views, and more. I am also skilled at AutoCAD and can create isometric, 2D, and 3D drawings and blocks. I operated my own business in designing and building furniture and decor items for personal clients and have designed and built nearly all the furniture in my own home. I am harnessing my lifetime experience of design and building, and honing my new CADD skills to build a portfolio that showcases my style. Largely self-taught, I increase my knowledge daily in architectural modeling and design through structured practice, heavy research, and practical application (designing objects by hand or in CAD and then building them myself). As a student in both vocational training and at university, I have previously amazed teachers and colleagues with my original conceptions in residential, interior, furniture, and commercial designs. Fun fact about me: Before there were any real computer aided design programs to practice in, I used the game enterprise, The Sims, for the sole purpose of designing and building a variety of homes and commercial spaces with stunning interiors and creative spaces.

I have worked for many years collaborating with designers from top brands to bring their vision to life and to help them along the way to make it manufacturable and cost-effective. I have a wide knowledge base of manufacturing techniques and materials to fabricate what's required under cost and under deadline. I have spent most of my working career using 3D and 2D processes to create an end product from napkin sketches and blue sky thinking. I enjoy making things, for myself, for other people, for the world at large. I have an upbeat personality and I love learning new skills. I am an autodidact and a polymath, so much so that I have maxed out LinkedIn's skills section. I have strong interests in materials science, chemistry, physics, computers, technology, astronomy, and nature.
