An experienced engineer. I've been practicing engineering for more than 10 years. In this field, I’ve been doing things such as research, design conceptualization, engineering design, computer-aided design(AutoCAD 2D & 3D), detailed drawings, fabrication/construction supervision, performance testing, and promotional materials. A bubbly & enthusiastic designer that plays around beyond possibilities of design. She has various experience in local and international design academe. She finished her Architecture degree in Mapua University ,Philippines and was an exchange student in Lulea tekniska universitet,Sweden (Architecture and industrial design studies). Her enthusiastic process in design brought her in the local and international stage as she won various competitions. Gecolea received a special grant of training in different Italian design companies as one of the prizes when she won in Italy (2016). Her training in product and furniture design from Sweden and Italy helps her unlock another talents as she handles the FF& E of a 5 star hotel project in manila and winning various product design competitions. Her early experience in career started at WTA Architecture & design studio. Where she was exposed and trained in multidisciplinary studio practice specializing on social architecture. She specialized in Hospitality & Retail projects. Gecolea was also work as freelance designer for client from Sweden, New York (Manila based project), Saudi Arabia, Italy , UK (Africa based project) and Netherlands. Recently, Gecolea was featured in various local broadcasting company in the Philippines because of her emphatic design approach to help the public transportation sector in adapting in Post covid society.
