I am a freelance SolidWorks expert and design engineer specializing in converting ideas and models into 3D. From this I am able to create photo realistic visualizations, technical drawings and prepare parts for production. I have experience with injection molding, design for manufacture and design for prototyping and assembly. My experience has resulted in cost efficient designs for varying sized items and varying sized projects. Have lead global innovation projects for multi national companies, however no job is too small. Furthermore I am able to create prototypes for visualization and for testing purposes. This combined with tooling contacts allows me to take a model from 2D or initial concept through to a production ready state, or production if required. My prototyping experience is with rapid prototyping, 3D printing to create highly accurate and realistic models. Prototypes can also be rapid machined from Acetyl or polypropylene amongst other materials and rapid tooled, injection molded or vacuum formed/cast parts can also be created prior to tooling for production. Willing to work on project at different stages and through different stages of a products development lifecycle. Past roles have involved developing projects from concept through to production following the more common product development patterns. This has seen me dealing, assessing and developing an understanding of market data and research, as well as developing specifications through co-operation with all different company divisions, packaging, chemicals etc. Concept design and development follows, using rapid prototyping facilities. I have also worked to ensure the successful operation of the current production systems. This involved testing, product approval, and inspection and design modifications. I have experience in lifecycle testing of equipment, which can often comprise of endurance and chemical resistance testing in the onsite laboratories. I have also had experience with organising and managing field trials, as well as colleting and collating data from them to make informed decisions and design improvements.
