Description:
Commuters on buses and trains don't have cup holders, and so they are left with the balancing act of holding their travel mug in one hand, while trying read the paper or work on their laptops with their other hand. This sucks, causes spills, and is super uncomfortable. Commuters need something that's compact and foldable that can then open and attach comfortably to their knee (or another body part?) that will securely hold travel mugs of different sizes.
Wants:
- Something that is light and can be folded away in the commuter's bag or backpack and not take a lot of space.- Something that accommodates a variety of travel mug widths and heights.
Software:
- Trimble SketchUp (Google)
- AutoCAD
- SolidWorks

I've increased the prize amounts, but I wanted to make sure whomever didn't win also got a prize.

Hi. I only own Sketchup and Blender, so you can build in whatever you'd like as long as I can then read the file in one of those (or another free, Mac OS X compatible) program.

Does the submission have to be in sketch up? Can I use solidworks?

Replicate Macbook Pro Cover
We are looking for someone to help us replicate a shell case for a MacBook Pro in a CAD format drawing that will function and fit the desired measurements. Our goal is to be able to take this design to a manufacturer for building. This case will include two parts: a top and a bottom. These parts need to be able to be built separately. Please see attached PDF for measurements This design should also be flexible enough to be adjustable so we can fit both the 15” and the 13” models. These models will be first produced in a CNC environment so the file must work within those constraints. The design should not include the bottom leg pads. The case we are looking to replicate is http://www.amazon.com/Speck-Products-SeeThru-Raspberry-SPK-A1498/dp/B00937DOEK We have most of the measurements but a second look would help. Wants: someone who either has a mac or can get their hands on one to see the coverture on the top and bottom case. Something that will actually can be produced. Main focus is on the 15" model case. Extra: additional Money can be earned if also completing the older version of the macbook pro case. also included in the PDF. 2012 version. $50.
wallet clip for keys/key fob/cash&CC/ headphones
As seen in the sketchup images, this rectangular clip functions as a wallet and clips onto the opening of a front pants pocket (an example is shown in photo's). I need YOUR help in finding an ergonomic & functional solution to securing a car key FOB to the clip as well as sourcing pro CAD files that can be sent to a CNC machining facility.
Phone Case with some mechanics
The case needs to be a functional case with two tracks: BASIC IDEA MODEL LOCATED BELOW (non-proportionate) The phone measures 123.8mm x 58.6 mm x 7.6mm The phone is an iPhone 5s The screen which is inches measured 4 inches diagonally must be unlocked on BOTH sides of the case i.e. (if I was to talk the phone out and flip it in the other side of the case the screen wouldn't be covered). The side where the power button is should have nothing on to of it. the tracks need to be 4 inches long with a 3 inch track inside the 4 inch track (Radio antenna idea). The tracks need to be hinged so that they can both stand up 90 degrees of the case and lay flat (it's okay if they cover the back open area). there needs to be a wheel inside the track that moves up and down the track vertically the wheel needs to connect outside somehow (like below) the wheel needs to follow the track to the bottom of the platform where the wheel will sit so that the hinged track does not hold the wheel when it lays down. any futuristic or modern design is accepted, however creative aspects are totally left to you as long as the design is functional.
Guitar Capo Design
We have created a game changing new version of the guitar capo. Our patent pending design eliminates the short comings of all modern capo designs. We have created what we call a "reverse nut" that keeps strings from binding in the capo. When the strings are bent up to pitch, they will return to original pitch without getting stuck in the capo. What we need: 3D CAD product rendering for prototyping. Capo Definition: "Musicians commonly use a capo to raise the pitch of a fretted instrument so they can play in a different key using the same fingerings as playing open (i.e., without a capo). In effect, a capo uses a fret of an instrument to create a new nut at a higher note than the instrument's actual nut. There are capo designs, but most commercial capos consist of a rubber-covered bar that clamps to the instrument's neck in some way to hold down the strings. Capos come in different sizes and shapes for different instruments and fretboard curvatures. The most relevant mechanical factors that vary by type of capo are ease of use, size, degree of interference with the player's hands, and ability to hold down strings uniformly without affecting tuning. Musicians use capos on many stringed instruments: guitars, mandolins, mandolas, banjos, bouzoukis—virtually any instrument that has strings suspended over a fretted fingerboard. Capos exist for square-necked resonator guitars, some of which do not contact the neck, but clamp above and below the strings." Wikipedia
Trash Can Clip\Labels
I am looking to have designed three silicone clips that can attach to the rim of a trash can. One clip will be black and say Landfill, one will be green and say Compost and the third will be blue and say Recycle. I am also looking for the corresponding icons next to the text. The typeface should be Helvetica Neue.
