This contest is to design a fast way to connect and disconnect the Donkey Calf Raise attachment to various size smith machine barbell shafts. The Donkey Calf Raise attachment is a patented apparatus that can be attached to the smith machine barbell to perform the donkey calf raise exercise. The current design will not attach to all smith machine barbell shafts. I need a new quick way for the apparatus to attach to a 25mm to 35mm diameter smith machine barbell shaft.Please see attached 3D STEP file, Inventor assembly & part files and AutoCAD 3D file. Attached also are images on how to perform the donkey calf raise exercise.
Wants:

Regarding the interface between the shaft and the DCRA connection, does the DCRA rotate around the shaft or will it be fixed i.e not rotate at all? Thanks.

Designer, I have received some good designs but nothing that I would call a winner yet. Let’s keep in mind what this device will be used for. It will be used in a commercial gym. This means that the device will be used quite often and it must be very durable. Also, the attachment clamp must be easy to take off and on the barbell. It must be able to clamp around a 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35mm barbell shaft.
You must also think about how this device will be manufactured.

The specification 25mm to 35mm barbell... am I to understand that there are only 2 sizes, 25 and 35? or are there sizes in between?

Hi, must the clamp tightly grip the barbell shaft? I measure the current design diameter is 28mm.

I used gear pullies to spin the rollers, however, I am open to any kind of gears based on your expertise for efficiency, durability, efficacy, and cost of goods. This will be a retail product and I would like to keep the price competitive with sweepers. Please provide the following: - Completed product with retail-ready design - Full size (similar to the carpet sweeper) - Rollers should have push pin or equivalent to easily pop rollers in and out (they will be replenishments with a variety of roller options (i.e. brillow, sponge, brush, shammy, etc.) - It should break down to fit into a retail box, again similar to the carpet sweeper link provided. - Rollers are 1" diameter - Wheels are 2"
4 DoF mechanical arm mounted on a tripod
We want to design an arm which can be mounted on a tripod as shown in the attached image. The total length of the arm is going to be 1.5m from pivot to end effector. For the movement of the joints please refer the other image. The total weight of the arm and the mechanism has to be less than 3kg. The payload is going to be less than 300 grams. Your job is to design the underlying mechanism which can drive this arm as smoothly as possible. The deliverables are going to be CAD of the mechanism and BOM and anything else which will be required to prototype the arm. The project will only begin with this contest and the designer will be hired for continuation of the project.
Hook Design for SNUZR: The World's First Toilet Stall Hammock
Looking for an engineer who can design a wall grappling hook that can suspend a hanging chair hammock between two partition walls in a toilet stall. The chair hammock has 4 straps which are attached to 4 identical wall hooks affixed at the top of the toilet stall partition. The hook must be able to hold securely in place as load weight is gradually applied. The typical user will install the hammock as follows: attach hooks on the side partition walls of the toilet stall - towards the front and back of stall and on both sides, attach hammock straps onto the hook, sits down on the hammock and if necessary get back up to adjust straps to ideal chair height and position. Previous designs of the hook did not stay in place and slid towards the centre of the wall due to side torque as weight was applied via the straps at roughly 45 degree angles (which also damaged or marked up the walls). We need a rockstar engineer who can solve this design challenge with a sense of humour.
Patent Pending Twisted Wire hookah cleaning brush
Hello Cadcrowd I currently am patent pending on a twisted wire brush and the use case is to clean hookahs. To give you a little bit about my background I have owned and managed my hookah lounge for 12+ years and recently have come up with a new improved design for the standard hookah cleaning brush, I have attached pictures of 3 brushes the brush on the left and middle is what is currently in production, and the left is my design. I would like to emphasize that materials are all the same, steel for the wire and nylon for bristles for cleaning hookahs. My design is collaborating the standard stem wire brush cleaner on one opposite end and my twisted hollow design on the other, making sure two exposed areas of wire for hand placement. I currently have been using a working prototype I made which is one of the pictures included showing my design inside the hookah, take note how longer bristles face in one direction. I need professional blueprints of my design to present to a manufacturer The overall dimensions are included in sketches brush should be roughly 60cm, bendable in the hollow area to allow longer bristles to elongate. Also longer bristles facing one direction should be (7 cm)
