Description:
I have two models that need to be made for an indie game I'm building. The first is a simple orb thing that levitates and will shoot lasers. The second is a temple training like facility.Orb:
I'm creating a game that needs a sci-fi training orb that'll levitate around, and fire lasers. I've done a very crude sketch (attached) to help you understand what I'm envisioning.
Temple Environment:
It should feel like a wide open space that also seems a bit "sacred". I've provided another crude drawing of what I'm envisioning. I have a couple of tweaks about it though, I'd like the ceiling to be much higher and there to be pillars holding on the lights instead of them just hanging on the wall. And the windows to be about 75% of their thickness and taller.
Wants:
I'm looking for the coolest designs, if you wanted, you could go completely off book and make something that just meets the criteria descriptions. The "coolest" designs will win.
Software:
- Blender (2.76b)
Additional Information
Please submit .dae (collada) or .blend (blender) files only.Entries

Good evening Caleb,
I apologize for the slowness in the response, but I am forced to work into the night to the many commitments.
Certainly, I can export to .dae format (collada).
And I can also do the rendering putting the reflective material of the first rendering.
Tonight I will work on environment, there is no 'problem.
I wondered just who also export the photorealistic textures or materials would be a problem, you have also need of materials and textures?
Or will 'throughout the game's rendering engine?
The problem with these renderings that I am putting are made with KeyShot, and the materials are not exported to a file. :/

Caleb,
I believe you may find that CADcrowd is not necessarily the best community to create your temple environment as this site is dedicated mostly to original mechanical designs, and usually real-world devices. I'd suggest turbosquid.com for your 3D environment needs. Your orb however is a great fit here at CADcrowd, as you have probably noticed from your submissions so far.

@edward It doesn't really matter since I can scale it in editor.

Also can you please do the environment also?
Buyer
Could you submit a collada (.dae) file instead?
Buyer
Also, I think the casing should be shiny like in the first submission you did.
Buyer
Hey could you export it in dae (collada) format? I'm loving the design on this one. Could you also do the environment? If that looks good too, I'll likely select yours.

Elephant Design
I paid for this design with the expectation that I would use it in a plastic injection mold. However, the manufacturer I selected has told me it won't work in an injection mold. I imagine it has something to do with ear placement, but that's where you guys come in! I need to be sure it will work in an injection mold while keeping the essence of the initial design. Also, you'll notice a circle/hole in the head - that needs to remain.

Design of a new Robotic Character t
Hi there, We are a small robotics startup that develop robotic toys. While we are able to do all the mechanical, electrical and software development, we do not have any artist onboard to make our robots look fantastic! So we are looking for someone with expertise in 3D modeling and product design. This is not a one time gig, we are looking for someone we can collaborate on the long term. Your job will be quite simple: We will provide you a CAD model and you will have to design around it to make it look nice according to our directions. For each project, we will expect to first see some sketches (you ll have 1 week for that) and then once we have reviewed them and pick one, you will be designing the 3d model (2 weeks for that). The first project will be to design the shell of a humanoid robotic toy. Again do not send anything till we have picked someone and provided CAD model and design directions. In order for us to pick someone we will need two things: - First, the more robot design you have in your portfolio and you can show us, the better we can appreciate your style and capacities. - Your hourly rate or per project rate. We are quite in a hurry to start the first job, so please reply quickly. Thanks!
