Dual Direct Drive design for the TronXY X5SA Pro 3D Printer While the assembly uses some standard components represented by models downloaded from free sites, the carriage, gears, mounting an d assembly are all of my own design. This project allows a user to 3D print their own parts to modify a TronXY X5SA Pro printer to use dual direct drive and dual hotends. Most dual extruder modifications I've found use a 2-into-1 hotend which I'm not a fan of, so I designed my own. Each piece I designed can be easily 3D printed. All hardware is standard 3mm. The hotends I chose to use are common V6 hotends with collar mounts. I recommend that if you 3D print your own, that you use either PETG or ABS. The hardware works amazingly well. I'm still having trouble on the software side of things, due to TronXY firmware not working well with a dual hotend setup.
