The Chavda house

Overview The original envelope of ground plus one, 3 BHK house was converted into a spacious family home by floor plate expansion and extension of a floor. The residence is designed for a family of three generations, thus the brief was to design user-centric spaces which can be related and cherished by all three generations, a modern house grounded with traditional values and experiences. The material pallet used here with bright hues for furniture, balancing with white bare walls and ceiling for the artwork to stand out. Many traditional pieces of furniture with fine carving and paintings were incorporated to add the needed character to the house.
